What does a car battery do?

Your car battery supplies power to all the the electrical components in the car such as the stereo and the lights and crucially, it ignites the spark which then ignites the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber and this in turn, starts the engine. Depending on the type of battery you have, it should start your car between 20,000 and 50,000 times.

Why does my battery not start?

It could be that the battery is flat and just needs a quick recharge using charging leads but if it still doesn’t start or goes flat after a few miles of driving, there may be a more serious problem so make sure to get in touch with Jupiter Garage. Reasons for your battery not to start could be:
